N-Free® N for Nitrate treatment

Principle

N-Free N reduce Nitrate-nitrogen to Nitrogen gas to use catalyst and reducing agents.

Advantage

N-Free N system has the following advantages compared to the existing biological treatment.

  1. It can treat the waste water which the biological treatment cannot treat.
  2. No limitation on nitrogen concentration in the raw water
  3. Fit for the fluctuation of nitrogen concentration in the raw water
  4. It requires less installation space because the dilution of the raw water is not necessary and the reaction rate is higher.
  5. It doesn’t generate the secondary waste such as sludge.
  6. Operating on demand. It is not necessary to operate at no raw water condition.

Waste water treatment for Pickling proces

This is the achievement which is applied to the waste water treatment of pickling.
The waste water includes Nitric acid, Hydrofluoric acid and heavy metals.
We applied F-Free for removing Fluoride and Calcium, and N-Free N for removing Nitrate-nitrogen after removing heavy metals and Fluoride by customer’s equipment.

Scrubber waste water treatment

This is the achievement which is applied to the scrubber waste water treatment.
We applied a part of N-Free N for reducing Nitrite.
Customer will treat other components with the existing treatment facility.

Waste water treatment for Semiconductor material washing process

This is the achievement which is applied to the semiconductor material washing process.
We applied N-Free N for reducing Nitrate and Nitrite after removing Silicate.
Customer will treat Fluoride with the existing treatment facility.

Combination with Acid recovery

This is the achievement which is combined with the acid recycle system.
After recovering acid by the existing equipment, we applied heavy metal removal equipment as pretreatment, and then applied N-Free N for reducing Nitrate.
Customer will treat Fluoride by using the existing water treatment system.

Waste water treatment for Nuclear fuel equipment

This is the achievement which is applied to the nuclear fuel equipment.
After removing radioactive compounds by the existing equipment, we applied N-Free N for reducing Nitrate-nitrogen.

Waste water treatment for Exhaust gas treatment equipment

This is the achievement which is applied to the waste water treatment which is generated from the exhaust gas treatment equipment.
After removing heavy metals by the existing equipment, We applied N-Free N for decomposing Nitrite-nitrogen, and treatment system for removing Suspended Solid, COD and Cyanide.

Waste water treatment for Cooling water

This is the achievement which is applied to the waste water treatment for the cooling water.
We applied N-Free N for reducing Nitric acid. In this case, we planed to install the nitric acid separator for the pretreatment to make N-Free N equipment size smaller.

Generally speaking, the chemical treatment like N-Free is suitable for high nitrogen concentration waste. But, it is more suitable than the biological treatment in the following cases.

・Process which includes bio toxic materials
(The chemical treatment has less influence to the biological treatment.)
・Process which has fluctuating load (The chemical treatment can follow the fluctuation easily.)
・Intermittent running process (The chemical treatment can stop running easily.)
